NPSH = Net Positive Suction Head. Theoretical parameters for the pump and the associated installation. The pump’s NPSH value cannot be changed. The system’s NPSH value depends on the pressure losses in pipes and fittings. The system must be designed so as to ensure that its NPSH value is lower than that of the pump.
